The museum 2020

On Thursday we went to the museum and we learnt lots like…

1.  First we sat down and talked about tools that the maori use to use one of the tools was a gourd it was used to collect water to go on long whaka journeys over the sea. Another tool was the tuwiri. It was used to make holes in the whaka so they could put the rope through it. 

2. After that we went on a treasure hunt we had to find a anchor stone, a carving, a ore , a horouta waka,and in the next room we had to find some fish hocks and a circle thing i forgot what it was called

3. Then we sat down and talk about the materials the close were made out of it was a type of bark. Then we went to the star dome the star dome was cool because…   

We watched 2 movies about NZ the we look at the stars there where so many satellite going around. 

4. Then we walk around the museum and went in to the boat in the boat the stars where very steep then there was a captions wheel at the top of the boat and a caborn in side of the caborn the was a life jacket an a life boye.

5. Then we made cool wakas with leftover materials i made mine out of drifted wood fabric, BBQ skewers , cardboard and thin rope i put it all together i was very proud

            I had lost of fun at the museum i am proud of my waka

This is my goals of the week. on my last learning map i wanted to improve on my math and i am working on that. i also write about my holidays. i enjoyed writing about my holidays.

davaly coconut treats 

Me and my mum made some devaly treats. we did it because i read about them at school and i wanted to make them. i enjoyed mixing the ingredients. The recipe said to make a lot more but we made this much because i thought the hole thing was made for like 100 people.

I made a report on hippos. we did it because it was a reading task and to learn more about hippos. I learnt heaps more about hippos, how they live and there habitat. I enjoyed learning facts about hippos.
